A 3-Step Approach to Everyday Metabolism Support
Wellaray Coffee is a food supplement - not a medicine. Every functional claim made on this page and on-pack is an EU/UK-authorised nutrient function claim linked to a specific nutrient, not a therapeutic claim about the product as a whole.
Step 1 - Plant Extracts Delivered
Six plant-derived ingredients are combined in each sachet: green coffee extract, green tea extract (EGCG), garcinia cambogia (HCA), ginger root, L-carnitine, and a chromium-Vitamin B6 mineral-vitamin blend. Each is sourced from suppliers across four continents and standardised for key active compounds.
The sachet dissolves fully in 150-200 ml of hot water in under 60 seconds, delivering all ingredients in a single morning drink.
Step 2 - Functional Nutrients Activate Normal Metabolism
Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels (EU Reg. 432/2012). Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. L-carnitine contributes to normal energy metabolism.
These are authorised nutrient function claims. They relate to the named nutrients at the quantities present, not to the product as a whole.
Step 3 - Everyday Energy Complemented
Green coffee extract contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Combined with the natural caffeine and EGCG from green tea extract, Wellaray Coffee supports the kind of calm morning alertness that complements an active daily schedule.
Caffeine sensitivity varies. Do not exceed one sachet per day. Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those sensitive to caffeine.
Why Plant Extracts Matter in a Morning Supplement
Wellaray Coffee draws on six botanical sources, each with a distinct traditional use or established nutrient role. Here is what the evidence base actually says - without exaggeration.
Green Coffee Extract
Unroasted Coffea arabica beans retain higher concentrations of chlorogenic acids than roasted coffee. Green coffee extract contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. The caffeine content also contributes to normal alertness.
Green Tea Extract (EGCG)
Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the primary polyphenol in green tea, traditionally consumed across East Asia. Green tea extract is a common ingredient in plant-based food supplement blends, contributing natural caffeine and antioxidant polyphenols.
Garcinia Cambogia (HCA)
Garcinia cambogia extract, standardised for hydroxycitric acid (HCA), is a plant ingredient traditionally used in South and South-East Asian cuisine. It is a common ingredient in food supplement blends and is listed for its traditional use rather than any therapeutic claim.
Ginger Root
Zingiber officinale has a long history of traditional use in food and herbal preparations across Asia, Africa and the Americas. Ginger root is included in Wellaray Coffee as a traditional botanical ingredient with a recognisable, warming flavour profile.
L-Carnitine
L-carnitine is an amino acid derivative found naturally in red meat and dairy. As a food supplement ingredient, L-carnitine contributes to normal energy metabolism - an EU/UK-authorised nutrient function claim at the level present in each sachet.
Chromium + Vitamin B6
Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and maintenance of normal blood glucose levels. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Both claims are authorised under EU Reg. 432/2012.
What We Can and Cannot Claim
Pinehurst Grove Nutrition is committed to honest communication. Under UK and EU food law, food supplement manufacturers may only use nutrient and health claims authorised under Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 and listed in EU Register Regulation (EU) No 432/2012.
This means:
- We can state that chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism - because this claim is authorised for chromium at ≥ 40 µg per serving.
- We can state that Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism - because this is an authorised claim for Vitamin B6 at ≥ 0.21 mg per serving.
- We can state that L-carnitine contributes to normal energy metabolism - because this is an authorised claim.
- We cannot claim that Wellaray Coffee treats, cures or prevents any disease, or that it causes weight loss. No such claims are made anywhere on this website or on-pack.
